Dr. Harald Zeller – Founder and Managing Partner of the Zeller Associates Group
Initially, Dr. Zeller went to sea for 8 years and worked his way up from deckhand to captain. He then studied jurisprudence at Hamburg University, completed the bar examination and worked as a maritime lawyer in Hamburg. He holds a regular D. Phil in Law from Hamburg University; his doctorate thesis covered German and International Insurance Law and examined in particular the collision liability element in Hull and P&I insurance.
Following this, Dr. Zeller spent 14 years working in the Marine and Transport Insurance Division of Munich Re, which he left at the end of 1996 to set up his own network company ‘Zeller Associates’, an independent, international group of marine, transport and other specialty insurance service providers. The Group’s headquarters are located in Hamburg; it has expanded to 14 offices located in most major global trading areas and employs approx. 140 people of a diverse range of nationalities and varied, albeit mostly maritime, professional backgrounds.
Bente Hammann has been a fully qualified German lawyer for over ten years now and is a member of the Bar of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. She is also a specialist transport lawyer, holding an expert qualification certified by the bar. Before joining the Hamburg office of ZASS International GmbH she worked in the Claims and Legal Departments of Maersk Line in Hamburg.
Her main focus there was on claims handling as well as providing legal assistance to other departments. In addition she conducted internal education seminars. She is a member of both the German Transport Law Association as well as the German Maritime Law Association.

Petra Eggers completed three years full training with one of the largest marine insurers in Hamburg. She stayed on, gaining an additional two years on experience in the field of common marine risks, carriers’ liability, and related business risks. During that time as well as throughout her subsequent employment with a marine insurance broker and underwriting agent (Assekuradeur) she was in charge of both underwriting and claims handling, and has since been an integral part of the ZASS team and the Zeller Associates Group.

Jon Sánchez is a fully qualified Spanish lawyer. He studied Maritime Law at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law in Oslo and holds a postgraduate master’s degree in Shipping Business Management.
Before joining the Hamburg office of ZASS International GmbH, he completed a traineeship in claims handling with a well-known P&I Club Correspondent office.
He also worked as a chartering broker in a Spanish shipbroking firm specialized in break-bulk and project cargo. His network includes the majority of Spanish maritime lawyers as well as contacts all over Europe and Latin America.
Jon’s mother tongue is Spanish with various accents and he is fluent in English and German.

Kristina Drogichynska is a qualified Ukrainian lawyer. She studied Maritime Law and Management in the Odessa National Maritime Academy in Odessa and holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Shipping from Hamburg School of Business Administration.
During her studies in Odessa, she successfully completed an apprenticeship in Cyprus in the fiduciary services industry. Before moving to Hamburg for her studies and joining the team at ZASS International GmbH, she worked for several years as a Commercial Manager in a dredging company, having inter alia been involved with governmental orders for the execution of dredging works on regional level, as well as internationally.
Her network includes a variety of maritime professionals in different fields of the industry throughout Europe, as well as globally.
Kristina’s native language is Russian and additionally she speaks fluent English, German and Greek.

Katharina Kuckuck has passed the final examination for the profession of Management Assistant for Office Communication in 2012.
After her exams she started working as an assistant on the executive level in the energy industry before studying business law at the University of Wismar. Katharina joined ZASS in Hamburg in 2016. She speaks English and German.

Alexander Behnke is a Member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the German Maritime Arbitration Association.
Before joining the Hamburg office of ZASS International GmbH, he has worked for a well-known International Group P&I Club for over 7 years in both Hamburg and Piraeus, handling a broad spectrum of P&I and FD&D matters and also resolving complex casualty incidents on behalf of international shipowners of every size. Whilst Alexander’s focus was on claims and recovery handling, he was also assisting shipowners and charterers with legal and practical advice with a focus on loss prevention.
He has also worked as a P&I correspondent in Dubai for most P&I Clubs for over 3 years where he also was the regional representative for a large liner operator from Asia.
Alexander holds a Master in Maritime Law from the University of Bristol and his network includes a wide variety of national and international professionals throughout the maritime and transportation industry.
He is fluent in German, English and Greek.

Zennon Cheng Chin Pang
Zennon looks back on 9 years active seafaring mainly on different types of tanker vessels in worldwide employment, of which he spent 5 years as a Deck Officer with an unlimited Chief Mate Licence. Ashore, he has been working in the fields of marine and cargo surveys, claims, adjusting services, and recoveries – to name but a few of his numerous activities over the past 25 years.
He is a member of the Nautical Institute and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and holds a Diploma in Marine Surveying as well as a Diploma in Mediation and Negotiation and a Diploma in Logistics Management. He is a Licensed Loss Adjuster admitted by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission and an accredited Mediator at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. Zennon is a part-time lecturer for the Vocational Training Council of the Continuing Professional Development Centre. He has also been Regional Director of the International Institute of Marine Surveying for three years now.
